About the Forum:

The forum will be a timely event in light of the recently approved grant from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to the Philippines, a significant portion of which is intended for the expansion of the Kapitbisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS). 

KALAHI-CIDSS empowers local communities in targeted poor areas to achieve improved access to basic public services and to participate in more inclusive local planning and budgeting as well as implementing of much needed projects at the community level. 

The World Bank has been supporting this Project since it started in 2002. The Executive Board of Directors will soon discuss additional financing to expand the overall coverage of the program.
