Practicing Accountability and Openness at the World Bank |  In response to the global movement for transparency and accountability, the World Bank Bank launched its Acceess to Information Policy. Launched in July 1, 2010, all Bank documents, with a few exceptions, are now accessible by the public over the internet.This policy also features a request system and an appeals process. Read More
Through the Open Data Initiative, the Bank's basic datasets and tools of analysis are now available online for free. Open Data has over 7,000 indicators, covering 200 countries, and reaching as far as 50 years ago can help individuals and groups to analyse development trends and design policy, and program options.  Knowledge for Development Centers (KDCs) are knowledge sharing partnerships between the World Bank and knowledge institutions around the country.
KDCs are information centers and hubs for dialogues and partnerships for development. KDCs are open to the public. No membership fees are required.

KDCs provide a vast collection of printed, multimedia, and online resources to make World Bank studies, Bank- assisted projects, and development-related information available to the public. |
